James Hopson,

Head of Operations – James has 30 years of experience in engineering and management in research, as well as development and product management with Fortune 500 companies. He is the owner of multiple small computer/internet businesses and a consultant. In regards to brewing, James has collected 7 years of extensive craft brewing experience including 3 years of formal training in brewery operations. His internship and supportive roles in many Triangle area breweries include a full-time apprentice brewer followed by a year as the assistant brewer at Compass Rose Brewery in Raleigh, NC.

Patrick Miller,

Executive Chef – Patrick has accumulated over 15 years of culinary experience including as a corporate trainer, restaurant manager, chef and owner/operator of a commercial commissary and two food trucks. He is a professionally trained chef and certified butcher through Chef Emeril Lagasse’s Chef’s Apprenticeship Program. His vast experience and contacts in the region enables NAZZ’D Brew Works and Grille to bring the best Farm to Table concept to the Alamance County area.

Thomas Vincent,
Head Brewer – Thomas has 20 years of brewing experience. 5 years of which he gained experience in brew supply helping customers, learning/teaching brewing techniques, overseeing new product development, organizing and running educational programs, and managing inventory and supply. He wrote freelance covering the Arizona and North Carolina brewing scenes and in 2010 he started working production and in 2011 he became a full-time brewer at Big Boss Brewing. The next year he was hired as the Pub Brewer for Natty Greene’s in Raleigh. In 2013 he designed and started Compass Rose Brewery serving as the head brewer. Thomas has since served as a brewery construction and startup consultant and has provided brewer training to breweries in Mexico, Florida and North Carolina. He also is an instructor at the Wake Tech Community College in the Craft Beer Brewing program.
